Amy Williamson, LICSW

Psychotherapist
VT
Hello, I'm Amy! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Massachusetts and Vermont with over 20 years of experience helping adults and teens (16+) find greater balance, connection, and healing in their lives. My work focuses on supporting those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, self-esteem challenges, and the complex transitions that come with being human. I view therapy as a deeply collaborative process—a partnership where we explore what’s holding you back and work together to help you move forward with clarity, compassion, and confidence. My approach is integrative and body based, weaving together polyvagal informed therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, and trauma informed care. Through this combination of approaches, we focus not only on understanding your experiences but also on how your nervous system and different internal parts of yourself respond to stress and trauma. By learning to listen to those responses with curiosity and compassion, you can begin to regulate, reconnect, and reprocess painful experiences in a way that fosters deeper healing and resilience. Creating a safe, supportive, and authentic space is at the heart of my work. My clients describe me as warm, genuine, compassionate, and down to earth. I bring both clinical skill and deep respect for the courage it takes to begin this process. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you reconnect with your own inner wisdom and capacity for growth. Whether you’re looking to process past experiences, understand yourself more fully, or find new ways to navigate daily stress, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, present, and at peace within yourself. If you’re curious about working together or wondering whether therapy might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out. I’d be honored to talk with you about what you’re looking for and how we can begin this work together.
