Amy Woodward, LCMHC

Psychotherapist
NH
Hello, I'm Amy. The decision to read this and even consider counseling is a huge step, and I'm here to support you on this journey. I hold licensure to practice counseling in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania. For over twenty years, I have dedicated my career to helping people improve their mental health, in a variety of settings. I have extensive experience working with individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, and difficult life transitions. My therapeutic work is informed by evidence-based treatments like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These approaches offer practical ways to manage uncomfortable thoughts and painful emotions. When needed, I also utilize Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to enhance your skills and insight. I approach clients with sensitivity and compassion in a non-judgmental environment that allows you the space and safety you need to explore, be honest, and heal. It is my goal to understand where you are and be with you as you decide where you want to go. Together, we can develop a plan that works for you, identify strategies and skills to get you there, and build the confidence to keep it going long after. In our work together, we will collaborate and actively pursue your goals to get you moving toward the life you want to live. I look forward to working with you and supporting you every step of the way.
