UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. The modality of the sessions will be based on what the client is struggling with. For instance, if it is childhood trauma, I might use a psychodynamic approach that focuses on the roots of emotional suffering. If it is anxiety, I might focus on CBT techniques and assign homework. I do try to incorporate holistic therapy into the sessions, as mind, body, and soul work together to gain proper balance in all aspects of life. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Old Westbury and completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology at the State University of New York, Old Westbury.
