Dr. Schmidt, Founder and Director of City Center Psychotherapy, specializes in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Anxiety, Trauma, and Depression. He is a highly skilled Cognitive Behavior Therapist (CBT) with extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and other exposure-based approaches. Dr. Schmidt holds a PhD in Social Welfare from the City University of New York, Hunter College, and a Master’s in Social Work from New York University. As Professor and Director of the Post-Masters CBT Certificate Program at New York University (NYU), Dr. Schmidt stays current with the newest therapy techniques. He also trains and supervises other therapists in CBT-based approaches. With more than 15 years of experience, he brings deep expertise to best support the patients he works with. Dr. Schmidt is licensed in New York and approved to provide telehealth services to Florida residents. Note: My practice has a 48-hour cancellation/rescheduling policy. New and existing clients must provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid being charged for the appointment.
