Psychotherapist

Finding a therapist who is supportive and understanding of your experience can be vital to your mental health. When you work with me, know you're choosing a therapist who is warm, non-judgmental and knowledgeable, and our time together is yours to discuss whatever is on your mind. I can give guidance and support to address your challenges regarding family and relationship issues, sexuality, intimacy, and/or gender identity. If you're coming out or exploring your identity, you deserve a therapist who sees you and affirms who you are. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science from the University of Maryland in 2008. I then obtained a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington in 2012. I have been practicing social work for 13 years and have worked in several different settings including child welfare, foster care, and private practice. I am also a professor for graduate students and specialize in Human Sexuality where I teach the students about topics such as kink, BDSM, polyamory, sexual assault, sex work, and sexual dysfunction. All of these are topics I am knowledgeable about and comfortable discussing with you. My therapy modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, using a strengths based approach, and utilizing queer and feminist theory.
