My approach I prefer not to follow a step-by-step approach. I like to mix it up. I will draw on techniques from various modalities to address your unique needs. I will draw on CBT, ACT, Positive Psychology, Person-Centered Therapy, Self-Compassion Practices, and ERP. What all of these approaches have in common is that they help you identify and reshape the thought patterns and behaviors that keep you stuck. Imagine having a toolbox of tools that could move you forward with confidence! My focus Do you feel down or depressed? Are you always worried that something bad is going to happen? Does it feel like you're living under a dark cloud and you can't see the sun? I know how that feels. I've been there, and I want to help you get out from under the heaviness of depression and/or anxiety. I look forward to teaching you tools to lighten your load, help you feel calmer, and let some light in. We will explore your goals and values to craft a treatment plan that is achievable and aligned with who you are and what you want. My communication style I hate being stuffy. I hate being stoic. I don't want you to feel like you're going to the doctor. I will be approachable, genuine, and empathetic. I will actively listen to what you have to say and offer feedback or suggestions. Will we laugh? I hope so. I like to use humor whenever appropriate. Will there be tears? Probably. I want you to be your true self and show all of your emotions, and I promise to do the same.
