Getting to know Anna Jervis

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in trauma therapy. Prior to building my practice, I completed my early training working with folks in their homes and communities. In these intimate settings, I witnessed firsthand the connection between the environment we grow up in and the patterns we take with us. This foundation lives at the heart of my work, guiding my belief that you are always the expert of your own care and that the cycles you find yourself in are there for a reason. Much of my clinical work today centers around themes of shame, attachment anxieties, tendencies towards numbing or co-dependency as well as an emphasis on effective and healthy communication within couples. My process is rooted in curiosity and collaboration. I tend to work with clients over a long period of time and believe therapy is only as effective as the relationship we build to support it. I strive to show up in sessions authentically--my goal is for clients to feel accepted and cared for while also trusting my ability to give honest and difficult feedback. I combine talk therapy, psycho-education and IFS.
