Hello, I'm April. I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in Virginia, Florida, and Nevada, and I've been dedicated to providing care to individuals and families for over eight years. My journey in mental health began in a county jail, where I worked with offenders. While I have a deep passion for helping offenders reintegrate into society, my career took a new direction four years ago when I discovered my calling to support individuals, couples, families, and the LGBTQ+ community as they navigate their daily challenges. Over the past eight years, I've had the privilege of working with individuals facing a variety of mental health issues. From reuniting families after separations and offering parent coaching to helping clients process depression and anxiety and providing marital counseling, my goal is to assist you in finding your strengths and using them to overcome life's obstacles. There is no greater joy for me than helping clients create a new narrative for their lives. I believe in offering a safe and supportive space where you can process, learn, and grow. Whether you're dealing with anger management, anxiety, ADHD, depression, family relationships, gender identity, grief, life transitions, medical issues, military or veteran support, intimate relationships, stress, or sleep disorders, I am here to walk beside you on your journey of recovery and healing.
