Oh, hey there,
My name is Ashley Kramer, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, treating behavioral health since 2013. Initially, I entered the field to support people who are experiencing the most challenging times in their lives and need someone to help untangle their thoughts and feelings.
I have traveled across the United States and have called Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Oklahoma “Home” over the last 15 years. Since then, I have found immense pleasure in working with adolescents and adults throughout their lifespans to help them navigate their stressors, struggles, and challenging life situations. I take an eclectic approach in collaborating with clients. I love the systems perspective, recognizing that everyone is a part of something that led them to where they are, as well as the person-centered perspective, where we aim to gain a good understanding of how we arrived here. I strive to make my sessions feel relaxed, supportive, and as if you're talking to an old friend you've just met. My overall philosophy for life is to approach everyone new as if we are all walking each other home.
When I'm not supporting my clients, I usually daydream about spending time on the beach with my two St. Berdoodles (Eisenhower and Patton), my kids, and my husband. We are a retired military family living in a rural area; we gave up urban life to enjoy a quieter, more relaxed lifestyle. I enjoy reading, dancing, and singing aloud in front of anyone who may/may not want to hear me, swimming, and binge-watching a series.
