Hello, I'm Barbara. I believe counseling is a partnership to help you heal, change, and grow. This partnership is built on mutual trust and respect, and I am committed to fostering that with each of my clients. As an Army veteran and military spouse, I bring a unique perspective to my practice. With over 14 years of experience working with active-duty service members, veterans, and their families, I understand the complexities of military life, including transitions, trauma, and addiction. My background allows me to connect deeply with those who have served and their loved ones, offering a compassionate and informed approach to therapy. I am a certified EMDR therapist and a Level 1 trained Internal Family Systems Therapist. My passion for therapy is reflected in my dedication to using a variety of therapeutic modalities to best meet the needs of my clients. Whether it's through EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, or other trauma-informed strategies, I strive to create a strong therapeutic alliance that supports personalized healing and growth. My focus includes working with adolescents and adults, providing counseling from age fourteen through adulthood. I specialize in addressing issues such as addiction, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, life transitions, military and veteran support, OCD, phobias, PTSD, stress, and trauma. Each session is tailored to help you navigate these challenges, fostering resilience and well-being. Outside of my professional life, I value the importance of balance and self-care, which I encourage in my clients as well. I understand that therapy is a journey, and I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way. If you feel that we might be a good match, I invite you to reach out and start this journey together. Let's work towards your healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.
