Batsheva Grunberger, LMSW

Psychotherapist
NY
I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults, and have experience supporting children and their families as well. I particularly enjoy working with young adults as they navigate identity, relationships, anxiety, life transitions, and the often overwhelming process of figuring out who they are and where they're headed. Whether you're struggling with self-doubt, relationship patterns, family dynamics, or feeling stuck, therapy can be a place to slow down, better understand yourself, and create lasting change.

Getting to know Batsheva Grunberger

I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults, and have experience supporting children and their families as well. I particularly enjoy working with young adults as they navigate identity, relationships, anxiety, life transitions, and the often overwhelming process of figuring out who they are and where they're headed. Whether you're struggling with self-doubt, relationship patterns, family dynamics, or feeling stuck, therapy can be a place to slow down, better understand yourself, and create lasting change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in a relational, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed framework. I believe that healing begins with curiosity rather than judgment, and that the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful vehicle for change. My work is deeply informed by the psychoanalytic tradition, and I continue to deepen my understanding through ongoing psychoanalytic training and study. I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely understood, accepted, and safe enough to explore difficult emotions and experiences.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Together, we'll make sense of your experiences, understand the patterns that developed for good reasons, and create space for new ways of relating to yourself and others. While insight is an important part of the process, I also integrate practical strategies when helpful, tailoring therapy to your unique needs and goals so that our work feels both meaningful and applicable to your everyday life. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you not only find relief from what's bringing you in, but also develop a deeper, more compassionate understanding of yourself that extends well beyond our work together.
