Benaifer is a truly gifted healer and guide. She listens deeply and really creates a space where her clients can feel safe, explore and bond with the parts of themselves that they may be cut off from. She is mindful, sensitive, and spot on in her perception.
There's a very particular quality of listening that Benaifer brings to sessions that I've never experienced somewhere else. I always feel like even when I am struggling to figure out what words express my feelings, she's both with me in the struggle and waiting on the other side of it, knowing the feeling and confident that I'll find the words. When she responds to what I'm saying, her responses are affirming and validating and also exploratory- giving me room to revisit, revise, elaborate, contradict. I've had more than 10 therapists in the last 15 years, and Benaifer is easily in the top 3.
