Psychologist
CA
I welcome new clients and look forward to helping them create a path forward that aligns with their intentions and empowers their self-growth. My approach I have been a licensed Clinical Psychologist since 2013 and currently work as a Scientific Director in Clinical Research. My approach to wellness is to understand what is driving our emotional and behavioral responses from a holistic perspective to help guide how and what may need to shift to reach the therapy goals. My focus While I've studied many diverse approaches to improve mental health, these are an assortment of tools tailored for each client and their unique situation. My communication style Communication style is collaborative with each client. Some want to start each session with their events from the week, while others prefer more structure to stay focused on their goals. My job is to find what works best for you, and this can be modified at any time. My journey to mental healthcare What drew me to the study of psychology in the beginning was my excitement to understand the mind's capabilities and power. My love and interest in this field grew with age. I'd better understand how life can be difficult, and we all need support at different times. To be able to help support others in their journey and to watch them experience a shift is extremely rewarding. My goals for you I help clients reach their goals by having a clear understanding of what the goal is, real and perceived obstacles, what can and cannot be controlled, to managing emotion while learning helpful tools and strategies to move you forward. My first session with you Our first session will be an exploration of your therapy goals. It may include a history of your experiences to help me better understand you and your goals, and shape a plan forward. I have great empathy for my clients and will be transparent with recommendations to help you build your skills and tools.
