Hi, I'm Beverly Oh, also known as Bev, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Nurse with a wide range of experiences in counseling, nursing, and education. I have Master's degrees in both Counseling and Human Services and Nursing, the latter focussed on education. My career in nursing led me to specialize in various areas including critical care, substance use, and community health to name a few. Being a Certified Kolbe Consultant further enhances my dedication to guiding you towards the ideal career. My passion roots in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and hypnosis, reflecting my commitment to modern and effective mental health approaches. I guide clients through tough life scenarios like separation, trauma, grief, and even career changes. My communication style includes active listening and engaging conversation in a comfortable setting allowing open collaboration. My objective is to have you leave, after our first session, hopeful and confident about finding solutions to your issues. I set foot on the path of becoming a therapist initially to provide career counseling for women. The journey has however led me to develop a passion for trauma-informed care and identifying speedy routes to transformative change. Together, we can set and meet realistic goals. Our sessions will be based on progressive tracking of your accomplishments, ensuring we're on the right path to your desired outcomes. The initial session will be focused on knowing you better so that I can align my professional approach to suit your unique needs. As part of who I am, I am an adoptive parent to three daughters, one of whom came via the foster system, and also the guardian to my beloved 9-year-old grandson. I love reading, traveling, and simply spending quality time with my family. I'm based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, offering holistic and empathetic approaches to counseling.
