Getting to know Brandy West-Bey
Hello! My name is Brandy, and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist providing telehealth services in the states of New York, Florida, Hawaii and Virginia. I received my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Northcentral University after serving in the U.S. Army. I provide individual, couple, and family therapy in addition to trauma therapy, substance abuse and SAP assessment services. I pride myself in providing a non-judgmental and supportive environment for my clients. My areas of expertise are sex therapy, military family therapy, substance abuse, couple and marital counseling, and depression and anxiety.
I am trained as a sex therapist, and I am also level 3 trained in the Gottman Method. I am an Emdria certified EMDR PTSD/trauma provider as well. I work with clients from all types of cultural, religious and sexual orientations. My therapy style is warm and non-judgmental with a splash of fun and light-heartedness when appropriate.
As a veteran and female of color, I often find myself working with clients that want a provider they can relate to and be their authentic self with. I truly enjoy what I do as a therapist and I do not take that privilege for granted.
