Brenda Lucero, LPC

Psychotherapist
CO
Meet Brenda I work best with people who are anxious or depressed in the context of complicated relationships, and who want to engage deeply in the therapeutic process. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable individuals who feel worn down or unsure in their relationships and want to find clarity and relief with care and curiosity. My approach is collaborative, reflective, and grounded. I place a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and create a steady, nonjudgmental space where we can slow things down, understand what’s actually happening, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. Much of our work focuses on helping your system regain steadiness over time, so that emotional regulation, insight, and choice can emerge naturally rather than through pressure or quick fixes. I draw from integrative, evidence-based approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, mindfulness-based practices, CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care. Rather than applying techniques rigidly, I tailor our work to your needs, values, and readiness. I have extensive experience supporting individuals in recovery, as well as those impacted by addiction in their families or relationships. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree and advanced training in trauma, addiction, recovery, and relational work. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relational challenges, and issues related to self-worth, boundaries, and identity. All sessions are offered via secure video telehealth. I work best with clients who value depth, curiosity, and thoughtful engagement, and who are seeking a therapist who will meet them with compassion, honesty, and steadiness.
