Getting to know Brooke Langford

I am a licensed therapist committed to helping clients learn new skills to build stronger, healthier relationships, increase emotional expression, and gain confidence within themselves. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University. My goal is to create a safe space where clients can positively process life experiences in a non-judgmental environment. My specialty is providing play therapy to children struggling with ADHD, defiance, behavioral outbursts, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, parent separation/divorce, and adjustment issues. I also have years of experience providing therapy to teens, young adults, and middle-aged adults using client-centered, strengths-based, narrative, and CBT approaches. Lastly, I have extensive experience helping clients overcome anxiety, depression, chronic illness, college/career coaching, family discord, poor self-esteem, pre/post-partum challenges, gender and/or sexual identity exploration, anger management, sexual assault, trauma, PTSD, substance use, and grief/loss. Together, we will navigate through life’s various challenges in a supportive way.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I'm committed to meeting you where you are at and supporting your individual journey towards healing and growth. Recognizing that each client is unique, I utilize a variety of different approaches to ensure that our work together is tailored to your specific situation and goals. Our sessions will challenge you and together, we can work towards overcoming any obstacles you may be facing to achieve your goals. *Please kindly note that we are unable to accept Medicaid insurance plans at this time.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to therapy centers around building a strong rapport and establishing trust in our introductory sessions. During this time, I also strive to identify your unique strengths, which will serve as a foundation for our work together. Further, I’ll provide unwavering support as you navigate your current obstacles and process past experiences. Together, we'll explore and practice new coping skills tailored to your specific needs and preferences, while building a strong support network. These skills will empower you to approach any upcoming challenges you may face and lead to greater long-term resilience and well-being.
