What should a new client know about working with you?

We will work together in a judgement free zone. I provide support, encouragement, and empowerment during our time together. I want you to feel comfortable in talking with me and the process of therapy, so in the beginning we start on developing rapport and navigating how you want therapy to go and the goals you wish to achieve. Then, we move towards accomplishing those goals in the ways that work best for you. If something doesn't work for you, then we shift our focus to find what does and what you are comfortable with.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is the intake where I gather background information to get to know you and your reason for seeking help. The following sessions we take it slow in getting comfortable with each other and further gathering background information and such. Then, we move towards implementing therapy modalities to start moving towards your goals. With children, I implement play therapy to make the sessions interactive and engaging appropriate for the child's age. Adolescents, young adults, and adults we will partake in talk therapy mainly and may utilize worksheets, coping skill exercises, meditation, and more depending on what our time together calls for.
