ME
Let’s get to the bottom of what takes your attention away from the people and things that you love. My goal as a therapist is to collaborate to give you the insight and tools needed to reach your goals. With a decade of experience working with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life changes – I am confident that psychotherapy can prompt us to discover new ways to deal with life’s difficult days. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with folks who have/are experiencing trauma. What is right for your healing may vary. My approaches are informed by my Level 1 Internal Family Systems training, systems-focused approaches, existential approaches, and an overall humanistic and holistic lens. Informed by what I have witnessed clients achieve through psychotherapy, I believe we can utilize your inner strengths to create change and help you move through the world with more ease. I am currently taking new patients with weekday availability. Consultation calls are free and available upon request.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style has been described as informed, warm, and focused on understanding, empathy, and accountability. As someone who focuses on treating trauma, I aim to provide a space that is conducive to exploring feelings of shame or embarrassment, as well as facilitating understanding and self-compassion. As humans we are subject to our own personal lens, our histories, and all the people and systems that impact our lives. Psychotherapy is an excellent place to untangle the threads of what you want, which barriers you possess the power to break down, and which elements of existence require tolerance of discomfort or disappointment, and which threads of joy we can embrace.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Treatment expectations vary on symptoms, goals, and preferred treatment modality, if any. I like to focus first sessions on the intake process: what brings them to therapy at this time, current symptoms and challenges, what they would like to get out of therapy, and a biopsychosocial history. Our second session will focus on more specific treatment planning. Sessions are typically held on a weekly basis. Commitment to therapy is imperative, and weekly sessions provide increased treatment outcomes. However, it is realistic that factors like cost, scheduling, and treatment progress may necessitate sessions be held at a different frequency.
