Life is a journey that presents unexpected twists and turns. We have plans for a full, perfectly planned, exciting life. However, we can't always control what we'll experience on our journey. What we can control is our response. Do you need tools to navigate through past trauma? Have you recently faced life transitions beyond your control? Do you need someone to walk with you after a recent loss? Are you experiencing high levels of anxiety and stress? I'm committed to partnering with you as you walk through life's conundrums. I will provide a non-judgmental, safe space for you to release hurt and worries, gain confidence, increase self-awareness, and love yourself again! I use a strength-based, holistic, and person-centered counseling approach to empower clients to feel more in control of their lives. I also utilize CBT, DBT techniques, motivational interviewing skills, and mindfulness techniques. I am a Mental Health Counselor, Limited Permit holder. I completed a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Southern Connecticut State University and became a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, serving as a school-based SLP for 14 years. In response to the social-emotional needs of my school community, friends, and family, I began my journey as a therapist and earned a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Malone University. I love community engagement through ministry. I enjoy singing, teaching, and shopping! I'm a lover of French fries and all things brunch! I'm a wife and mother of four handsome boys!

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, I want you to please show up as your authentic self. No need to show up with the burden to be perfect. Expect to be validated, heard, and guided as we work together to work through your needs. Expect some laughter as well. When you work with me, you'll feel safe, secure, empowered, and equipped with the tools to navigate this thing we call 'life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I start by hearing your story, your challenges, and your priorities in therapy. We will work to build a therapeutic relationship, built on trust and openness. We will then identify goals and work towards achieving them through the use of treatment modalities that best support your needs. It will be the start of your journey towards healing and wholeness.
