I am a cis-woman who has experienced great love, great loss, and great therapy! I am licensed as a clinical social worker and an addictions counselor in the state of Colorado. I have a master's degree in Social Work and I graduated from the University of Kansas. I am a firm believer that part of the human journey is to find other humans to help us get through the hard and complicated parts of this world we live in. I know the process of finding a good therapeutic relationship can be frustrating and confusing. Therefore, I thought I would offer a few words on what to expect when you contact me. First, I ask that we make time to have a 10-15 minute phone conversation. This quick phone call allows you and me the chance to figure out if we think we would be a good team. During the phone conversation, you can ask questions and express your needs. When we decide to move forward, your second visit will be a history-gathering and goal-setting session. From there, you and I will continue to work through your goals and any other pieces of life you feel need attention. Typically, clients meet with me weekly. Therapy is a commitment not only in time and effort, but also financially. So, I also ask that you understand your financial commitment. Now that you know what to expect, here is a little bit about my background.
