“This was my first visit and because I did not receive all the paperwork needed this visit was just a consult. The provider was very kind and understanding. She listened and gave me some great tips and resources to utilize and help me with my circumstance. Iv had a lot of heavy situations hit me at once and I am trying to stay grounded through it all without affecting to much of my daily life (personal, work, school). She explained how it all works thoroughly. She scheduled Saturday appointments moving forward with me to began seeing her for therapy sessions that work with my busy schedule. I really appreciate my visit with her. ZocDoc was quick in allowing me to sign up and schedule with someone right away. Now this was my first time using ZocDoc but if it works that quick all the time. I would definitely recommend it. As far as the Provider I had a great consult with her and as long as she is a great fit for what ever individual needs you might have I would definitely recommend her. ”

Getting to know Cari McLerran
In these modern times, mental health and mental health treatment still carry a stigma, and I want to help change that. We all have experiences that have impacted us, and my goal in practice is to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and gain insight and skills to navigate an ever-changing world as their best selves. I have worked in a variety of settings with this goal in mind—from individuals in crisis to those struggling with addiction who continue to find themselves in the criminal justice system. I use MI, DBT, and ACT, and I add my own love of "geek culture" as a way to connect with and help clients grow. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix.
