Carmy Aristor is the founder of Destined Horizons Mental Health Practice PC. In a society where “everyday” life stressors and trauma have become the norm, she believes there is a new horizon of awareness that awaits. With over 15 years of experience working with youth and families, Carmy has promoted change through teaching parenting skills, working with at-risk adolescents and providing therapy to clients. Her experiences range from play therapy with children, adolescent individual and group therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, and grief counseling. Through modalities such as Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Impact Therapy, Schema Therapy, Trauma Focused and Behavioral Therapy, she has been able to bring awareness to dark places one session at a time. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and a Certified Life Coach through the Behavioral Health & Leadership Dynamics, LLC. Her greatest passion is to walk the journey with a client from obscurity to clarity, while building on existing strengths. Life has a way of challenging us to newer horizons, through an eclectic approach that meet the needs of each individual, she works alongside her clients to reach their destined horizons.
