Psychotherapist
CO
Hello, I'm Carol, and welcome! I enjoy helping adults recover from trauma and move forward with more hopefulness and zest for life. The effects of trauma can impact a person's emotions, daily life, and relationships. The transformation process, while difficult at times, is well worth the effort. I provide psychoeducation on trauma to help clients understand how and why trauma affects them and coping skills to help manage these effects. I utilize EMDR, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), or other treatment strategies to reduce painful effects and distressing emotions. When root issues are processed, a person often experiences reduced emotional pain, less anxiety, and increased self-esteem. My approach is gentle, caring, and empathetic. It takes courage to pursue trauma counseling, so I congratulate you for taking this challenging first step! I hold an MA and am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My specializations include anxiety, depression, family relationships, grief/bereavement, intimate/romantic relationships, life transitions, phobias, PTSD (Posttraumatic Stress Disorder), spirituality, stress, trauma, and military/veteran support. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer virtual sessions. Working with me means you'll find a safe, supportive space where you can explore your feelings and experiences without judgment. Together, we'll work on developing coping strategies and processing root issues to help you achieve a sense of peace and well-being. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, or the aftermath of trauma, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Thank you for considering me as your therapist. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and help you on your journey towards healing and growth.
