Psychotherapist
CO
Hello, I'm Carrie, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals find balance and alignment in their lives. My journey in the mental health field began in 1997, working with children involved in gang activity in Phoenix, Arizona. Teaching them English and basic life skills inspired me to further my education in child development. After earning my BA in English Literature from Arizona State University in 1998, I pursued a Master of Arts in Community Counseling in 2001 and continued on to achieve my LPC certification. Additionally, I am certified in EMDR, TF-CBT, and as a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Instructor, and I have completed my Reiki Master Level III training. My extensive experience working with children, teens, families, and individuals has equipped me to support clients through various stages of life. I specialize in PTSD, depression, anxiety, and sexual abuse, and I utilize a range of therapeutic techniques including EMDR, journaling, art, music, and psychoeducation. I firmly believe that not everyone fits with the same therapeutic approach, so I tailor my treatment plans to each individual's unique experiences, present circumstances, and goals. In our sessions, you can expect a compassionate and personalized approach. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard and understood. Together, we will work towards achieving your goals and improving your overall well-being. If you're ready to take the next step towards healing and growth, I invite you to reach out. Let's embark on this journey together.
