What should a new client know about working with you?

I'm not like your stereotypical therapist, always asking "how do you feel about that?" or simply nodding along the whole time - I'm a tell-it-like-it-is type of person, while also focusing on your unique strengths and interests to help us make strides toward your individual goals! I've found a mix of curiosity, humor, encouragement, and tough love has helped clients find the most success in managing their anxiety, healing from relationship trauma, conquering their intrusive thoughts, and building confidence & healthier relationships with themselves and others!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Sessions are held through a HIPAA-compliant video platform, allowing us to connect from the comfort of your own home! To be able to utilize your insurance benefits, a diagnosis is required by insurance providers - we will dive into what brings you to therapy, how it's impacting you and your life, and openly discuss and devise a plan to help you reach your goals!

More information on payments and coverage

Insurance billing is currently done through Headway, an insurance billing company, to allow my focus to remain on my work with clients. Headway will verify your coverage and payment for sessions will be done through their processing system. Out-of-pocket billing is done through my electronic health record (EHR) - Sessions Health. Superbills are provided for those who are insured by a provider I'm not in-network with and wish to utilize their insurance benefits. Payments for sessions will be done at the time of service. If I'm in-network with your insurance provider, but you wish to opt-out of using insurance, we can do so; however, you will not be able to have payments for sessions count toward your deductible or be submitted for reimbursement.
