Is emotional distress limiting your fulfillment in life? Your diminished sense of wholeness and contentment in your relationships and work can be rooted in the interpretations you made about your experiences that you unknowingly internalized. A goal in treatment and in life is to bring what is unconscious into your awareness. I incorporate my advanced trainings in a variety of proven methods to treat the whole person, integrating mind, body and spirit to help people along their journey of healing and personal growth. By utilizing and merging cutting edge approaches, one's natural healing processes are activated to remove emotional wounds, which in turn creates movement toward a healthy state and experience of well-being. In addition to approaches that include EMDR and parts work, skills to build resilience and manage stressful emotions are incorporated in the treatment process. My role is to guide you along your unique pathway to achieve inner peace while navigating life's challenges. My educational training is in psychology with a special track of study in behavioral medicine from Connecticut College. I have a post masters credential in Mental Health Counseling from Fairfield University, also in Connecticut where I was first licensed. My undergraduate studies were at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Ongoing learning has embodied the science and function of the nervous system related to psychological states of being and methods for healthy change. In addition to holding licensures as a Professional and Addiction Counselor, I am a Certified Coach specializing in personal growth, bringing a unique perspective to coaching with my experience as a mental health practitioner and training in the neuroscience of habit change. I look forward to accompany and guide you as you take your own hero's journey.
