Wholehearted Counseling is a private-pay practice and is not in network with insurance companies. However, your insurance plan may include out-of-network benefits that allow you to receive partial reimbursement for therapy services. Payment of the full session fee is due at the time of service. I can provide you with a monthly superbill, which is an itemized receipt containing the information your insurance company may require when you submit a claim for reimbursement. Private-pay therapy gives you more choice and flexibility in your care. Because treatment is not being billed through insurance, we can make decisions about the focus, length, and approach to therapy based on what feels most supportive for you rather than what is required for insurance coverage. Private pay can also offer greater privacy, as a mental health diagnosis does not need to be submitted to an insurance company in order to receive services. It also gives you the freedom to choose a therapist based on their specialty, approach, and fit rather than being limited to therapists within your insurance network.
