Getting to know Celeste Jenisch

I hold a Master's in Social Work (MSW) from Portland State University and am a pre-licensed therapist (LICSWA) in Washington State (#61487080). I consult regularly with my clinical supervisor to discuss therapy issues and seek support with challenging cases. In addition to my private practice, I work in a hospital emergency department supporting teens and adults in crisis. My prior clinical experience includes working directly with survivors of physical trauma, foster youth, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and parents of children with developmental delays. I highly value having a scientific foundation for the work we do together. Before and during graduate school, I spent several years as part of a research team studying the outcomes of behavioral intervention programs for adolescents. I continue to prioritize evidence-based approaches in my individual counseling and stay current on scientific literature and findings as they apply to our work together.
