Getting to know Chaim Shapiro

Hi! Are you getting stuck in the challenges of life? Do you find yourself ruminating with negative self thoughts and criticisms? Is your inadequate self worth getting in the way of becoming the person you want to be? If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, then you are a perfect fit for my practice. I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker and received my formal training at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Please note that Practice sessions are 45 minutes.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is warm, empowering and interpersonal, using techniques of psycho-dynamic theory, CBT and Relational Psycho- analysis. I have also received additional training specializing in Marriage and Couples Therapy from NYCEFT and Ackerman Institute of Family Therapy. I also trained at Beck Institute for Depression and Anxiety. I have many years of experience in couples therapy as well as individuals and families.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I will help you achieve your true potential and become the person you want to be. I will help you understand yourself at a deeper level, gain self acceptance and build your confidence so you achieve the true success you are capable of. I will customize a treatment plan for you based on the latest research and evidence-based practice.
