“Christina and I worked together for over 10 years, right after my son was born and I had postpartum depression through those first tenuous times of being a parent and working full time. I had such a wonderful relationship with her and she also really helped me with pain management, including providing migraine and back relief. She's incredibly generous, intuitive, and supportive. I wouldn't hesitate going to her again if I needed anything. She's the person I recommend whenever anyone asks "do you have a good therapist?" because who doesn't need that at least once in their lives? And going to Christina will be something you won't regret! ”

Getting to know Christina (Sarno) Lamarque Horner
At Suite 14 Psychotherapy, we see individuals and groups and specialize in challenges across the lifespan, particularly for those struggling with chronic pain, career transitions, and relationship issues. We tailor our approach to the needs of each client, offering both a supportive and action-oriented approach to concerns.
Chronic pain sufferers: I work from the perspective that chronic pain is constructed both physically and psychologically, and that awareness of our unique emotions, ideas, and expectations about our pain is a principal therapeutic ingredient toward healing. You have more control than you may know over your pain. I am currently accepting pain clients for full assessments and developing treatment plans with the tools and clinicians that will be right for you and your unique experience.
Sometimes normal life challenges-like changing careers, becoming a parent, or changes in relationships-can contribute to difficult emotions and result in behaviors that make us feel stuck, unproductive, or even self-destructive. For many, these experiences also leave us feeling anxious, depressed, and sometimes struggling with chronic physical conditions. Exploring how your current challenges relate to your temperament, past experiences, and needs can give you the tools to feel better. I provide the support and guidance needed to help you develop awareness and make informed decisions you can feel confident about.
I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University, which informs my compassionate and evidence-based approach to therapy.

I am taking clients for assessment and referral within the practice only. I am committed to finding you the right fit for your needs.

I LOVE Christina. She has LITERALLY saved my life! Even though she’s helped me get to a place where I could probably step away, I still see her twice a month (and could opt for less often). I continue going because after helping to get me out of a very deep depression, she now helps me stay sane as I manage perimenopause, work, marriage, motherhood, and taking care of an elderly parent and all of his affairs. She is a joy to see and work with and I always refer her to people who are looking for a good therapist.

Christina is an excellent therapist. I've been going to her for a number of years and I always feel heard and validated. She has also helped teach me the skills to better cope with my anxiety and depression, and to move forward with my life, personally and professionally.
