Getting to know Christine Stephenson

Therapy should feel supportive, genuine, and even a little fun. With 9 years of experience, I help people sort through life’s challenges, find their footing, and reconnect with who they are. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, we’ll work together to create clarity, build confidence, and move forward. I offer a safe space where you can be truly heard, break free from old patterns, and grow into a more grounded, resilient version of yourself—ready to live the life you want with purpose and strength.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You are the expert on your life. My role is to support you, not to judge or tell you what to do. I offer a safe space where you can speak openly. Together, we explore what’s working, what’s not and what you want to change. You bring your story, your values, and what you want to change, and I’ll bring tools and guidance. As my client, you will leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and more in control of your emotions and choices. You will gain insight into yourself, learn practical tools to manage challenges, and develop healthier ways to communicate and connect with others. If we work together, please know I consider it a privilege to be part of your healing journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

1. Initial Contact & Intake We start with a conversation (often by phone or email) to make sure I’m a good fit for your needs. During the first session (the intake), I’ll gather background information, learn about your goals, and explain what therapy can look like. 2. Building Safety & Trust Early sessions focus on creating a supportive, non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing openly. We’ll go at your pace—no pressure, just collaboration. 3. Goal Setting Together, we’ll identify the concerns you want to work on (for example: stress, trauma, relationships, anxiety, or family dynamics). We’ll set clear, realistic goals so you know what direction we’re heading in. 4. Tailored Approach I use evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, strengths-based, client-centered work, and parts work. I adapt tools and techniques to fit your personality, values, and pace, so therapy feels practical and personal. 5. Ongoing Work Sessions may involve exploring patterns, building coping skills, practicing new ways of thinking or communicating, and working through past experiences. We’ll check in regularly to see what’s working, what’s not, and adjust as needed. 6. Progress & Growth Over time, many clients notice they feel more resilient, grounded, and confident. The goal is to help you not just get through challenges, but to grow stronger and create lasting change. 7. Closure & Next Steps When you’re ready, we’ll talk about winding down therapy. Some clients choose to come back for “tune-up” sessions later, others transition to check-ins as needed.
