Getting to know Christopher Brooks Fletcher

Hello! As a clinical social worker, I use a wide variety of different treatments to aid in your journey towards growth and healing. You are not alone and I have sat in the client's chair before. Now, I won't pretend to know exactly what you're going through because your experiences are your own, but I look at therapy as an opportunity for fellow travelers in life to explore the process of moving towards healing during the stormy times in life. Thank you for your consideration and I hope to be able to get to know you more on this journey together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style of therapy is collaborative. I am not going to sit there and make all the decisions for you. I will propose items to address, key points to take home, and the like, but I more importantly want to hear your take and vision forward so that we can integrate both our expertise. I hope to be as warm and safe as possible. My goal is to create a space of nonjudgement no matter the presenting issue, situation, or problem. I want to be what you need on this journey together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

As a psychotherapist, I will work with you with a strengths based focus so that we can take the best parts of you to help you forward. By focusing on that and turning our attention towards acceptance, self-love, self-compassion, and what we can do to move forward towards our values, we'll accomplish great things. This will allow us to be graceful while attentive to progress; unconditionally there for you while at the same time moving towards the change(s) you want.
