Getting to know Cindy Arenas Nieves

I am a bilingual clinician (English and Spanish) with over 15 years of experience providing mental health services to diverse populations. I hold a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University and am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona, Florida, and New York. My clinical expertise includes mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, trauma-related difficulties, couples distress, and parent training, among other areas of concern. I am also experienced in addressing various aspects of human development-including ethnic, cultural, sexual, gender identity, and spirituality-in psychotherapy to support whole-person growth. As a staunch advocate for dispelling myths surrounding mental health, I am dedicated to helping my clients gain empowerment over their lives. In my leadership roles, I provide supervision to clinicians working toward their independent licenses and serve as the Program Coordinator for the AAMFT-Arizona Interest Network.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
