Getting to know Cindy Gelber

I have extensive training working with a variety of populations. I service clients based on their needs, drawing from diversified training in individual, couples, and family therapy. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Yeshiva University. The ultimate goal is empowering the client to lead a more balanced and fulfilling life where he/she/they is more in control of their own life success.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I recognize that deciding to enter/continue one’s therapeutic journey is a big decision to make. It involves working with someone you build trust with over time, who is has the skill set to help one to promote self growth, awareness, insight and coping mechanisms. We will meet initially for a consult to see if working together is the right fit. I have years of experience with addiction, trauma and mental health. I strongly believe in the power of the mind and the guidance that can be needed by a trained professional to expand what one knows about their capabilities and move past trauma, mental health battles and/or addiction. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults. I also work with working with our dedicated first responders (police, fire, CO, EMT, nurses and military).
