Getting to know Cortina Darden

Hello, I am Cortina! Thank you for taking the next steps in your healing journey. Together, we can partner to both guide and disrupt problematic patterns. As a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Maryland, a 200-hour Yoga teacher, Reiki practitioner, and certified Mindfulness professional, I use a holistic approach to help you connect with your wounded inner child, establish healthy boundaries, and apply evidence-based techniques that can be used to unravel root and intergenerational struggles. I utilize a mind-body approach by integrating mindfulness and restorative practices into the therapeutic space. I believe that depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and many other symptoms are better managed when we address the whole person in their environment. It is not uncommon for me to connect and partner with loved ones and other health providers who also serve my clients in order to create a truly holistic approach. If needed, I will make a specialty referral to ensure the best possible care. I hope that you will take this journey with me!

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
