Oftentimes, people see therapy as a sign of weakness or think they are flawed. But I am here to help you see otherwise, break that stigma, and provide a corrective experience. Therapy is for anyone!
I believe the most important factor promoting growth and healing in therapy is the relationship. You are the expert of your life, and I am here to help you navigate through challenging times. Together, we will collaborate to identify your goals and the best course of action tailored to your specific needs. We will work together to build insight and understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors shape your decisions and relationships.
My therapeutic style is flexible and integrative, drawing from several approaches that best fit your unique needs because I do not believe one size fits all. I often pull techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), relational therapy, and psychodynamic therapy to support your growth and progress. In sessions, I strive to be challenging yet compassionate, providing a comfortable, empowering, culturally sensitive, and judgment-free space.
As a first-generation college student, I am proud to have earned my Master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University and my Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rowan University. As a bilingual (Spanish/English) and bicultural clinician, I am passionate about social justice and helping marginalized communities and people of color find their voice, meaning, and achieve self-empowerment.
