*After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ to complete required intake forms prior to your appointment.* I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Psychology from New York University. I later discovered my true passion for social work while volunteering as a Rape Crisis Counselor in local hospitals. This experience provided invaluable insight into advocating for and supporting patients who had experienced trauma, especially during vulnerable moments like those in the ER. Inspired by this, I pursued a Master of Social Work from New York University and have since dedicated myself to working in various mental health and community health settings. My work primarily focuses on offering accessible services to individuals facing substance abuse, chronic illness, or other mental health challenges. I am committed to providing an inclusive and affirming space, particularly for clients of color and the LGBTQ+ community.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapy approach is person-centered, inclusive, and collaborative. From the moment we start working together, I prioritize creating a space that feels safe, welcoming, and affirming of your unique experience. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard and understood, and I work to ensure that happens through our connection. Therapy doesn’t have to be all serious, either—I often use humor (when appropriate) to keep our sessions light and engaging. Whether you’re struggling with mood disorders, stress, relationships, or addiction, I tailor our work to meet your needs, using approaches that foster healing and growth. My practice also emphasizes the importance of physical health for mental wellness, particularly for those managing chronic illnesses. I know how challenging it can be to live with a chronic condition, and I’m here to help you explore the impact it can have on your mental health, mood, and overall sense of self.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When we begin our sessions, we’ll work together to set goals that are meaningful to you. I integrate a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), internal family systems (IFS), somatic experiencing, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy. We’ll work collaboratively to identify which approach resonates most with you, and together, we will create a roadmap for your therapy journey. I also emphasize the importance of the mind-body connection, especially for clients with chronic conditions. Therapy can be a powerful tool for understanding how physical symptoms, like pain or flare-ups, might influence your mental health and vice versa. Sessions with me are collaborative—we will continuously check in to ensure you feel comfortable and that we’re making progress toward your goals. Above all, I aim to provide a supportive environment where you feel empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.
