I am a psychotherapist with a background in psychology and over ten years of experience working in the international humanitarian field. Through my work in diverse and often high-pressure environments, I developed a deep interest in trauma, resilience, and the role that safe and supportive relationships play in healing. I approach therapy from a trauma-informed and client-centered perspective, creating a compassionate space where clients can feel heard, respected, and supported. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Together, we explore patterns, deepen self-awareness, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Getting to know Dania Younes

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and integrative, drawing from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which facilitates deeper processing and healing of unresolved trauma. Our work emphasizes both developing deeper insight and understanding, and cultivating practical skills and tools to navigate life with greater clarity, resilience, and balance.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am a bilingual counselor, offering therapy in both English and Arabic. I aim to create a space that is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, where lived experiences, identity, and values guide our work. I am committed to providing inclusive, affirming care, supporting individuals from diverse and marginalized backgrounds with cultural sensitivity and respect. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own. You don’t have to do it alone. I would be honored to support you in reconnecting with yourself and creating a life that feels more grounded, authentic, and aligned.
