“Scheduling an appointment through zocdoc was obscenely easy and the profiles on the zocdoc website were detailed enough that I was able to pick one I felt like was the best choice for what I was looking for. I deal with existential dread and wanted to meet with someone who was open to providing perspective and opinion; I received exactly this. ”

Getting to know Dr. Daniel Ephraim Pott-Pepperman

Hi there, I'm Daniel Ephraim! I hold a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, with a special emphasis in neuropsychology and forensic psychology. I also earned a Master's in Psychology from Saint Mary's University. I am licensed in the states of Colorado, Iowa, and Washington and have worked in this field for the past 16 years. My approach I mainly use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in my work with individuals struggling with a variety of mental health problems. I have also used logotherapy to assist individuals in searching for the meaning of their lives. These approaches help individuals identify current methods of reducing mental health symptoms-modalities that challenge thoughts transforming rational concerns into overpowering and irresolvable internal conflicts. My focus I work with individuals with serious and persistent mental health problems, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. I also assess and treat individuals with traumatic brain injury and neurological diseases, including multiple sclerosis, Huntington's disease, and all forms of dementia. Neuropsychological instruments are used to assess depression, anxiety, and ADHD. In addition, I conduct capacity evaluations and complete statements of expert evaluation forms for competency hearings. My communication style From the beginning to the end of each session, I strive to make individuals feel comfortable. Sessions are collaborative, where my expertise combines with the individual's intimate knowledge of themselves. I help individuals understand that their thoughts, feelings, and actions are closely connected. We also explore individuals' schemas-a set of beliefs-because a negative self-schema makes it difficult to acknowledge positivity and enjoy personal relationships, as they may feel undeserving of anything good.
