Daniel Gollub, MA

Psychologist
KS
Hi there, I'm Daniel! I have a master's degree, licensed in psychology (LCP 113). Therapy needs a good partnership between the client and therapist, and ideally, the client will become their own "good partner." My approach I have an original approach to interpreting dreams. I try to find ways for clients to understand their inner resources and make the best use of them. I want clients to be able to feel hope about the future. My focus I greatly admire the therapists who can work well with children, but I feel my primary capabilities involve working with teenagers and adults. My communication style I try to provide a relaxed, empathic environment in which they can feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings. I might try to redirect the conversation at times if I feel that will be helpful to them, but not in a forceful manner. My journey to mental healthcare My interest in dreams led me to choose psychology as a career. I've worked with clients at an institution for the developmentally disabled, teenagers at a mental hospital, and clients at a community mental health center, and I loved those jobs. If I think I've had a good effect on a client, I feel happy. My goals for you How can they have a good set of routines? What wisdom should they have about doing things right? How can they be at peace with others and with themselves? My first session with you I will try to gather essential information and will ask clients about their goals for future sessions. If anything seems to need immediate fixing, I will try to help as best I can.
