Daniel (he/him) profoundly believes in the positive impact that the therapeutic process can have on an individual’s life, as it has on his own. Understanding the healing that can result from the client-therapist relationship, he brings an unfettered authenticity and warmth to invite clients to collaboratively explore with nonjudgmental curiosity and compassion. His priority is to build the connection needed for each client to feel safe and vulnerable. Daniel trusts in the client’s lived experience and centers the client’s strength and resilience while acknowledging the real impact of external systems. While his background in musical theatre brought Daniel to NYC, he is most thankful for the space this city gave him to uncover his unabashed queer joy. His volunteer work as a digital crisis counselor for the Trevor Project solidified his desire to pursue a career in mental health counseling. Daniel is driven to support clients through their identity development, relationship and family issues, and religious trauma, among other concerns and struggles. Weaving elements of relational, person-centered, and existential approaches, Daniel hopes to help others find meaning, connection, and self-acceptance in their lives.
