Do you feel like you’re carrying so much on your own; showing up strong and capable, even when you feel disconnected and overwhelmed? You may find yourself constantly people-pleasing, staying hyperindependent, or shutting down emotionally just to get through. These patterns often develop for a reason but over time, they can make it hard to feel safe, supported, or truly connected in your relationships and within yourself. In our work together, I help you gently untangle the patterns that no longer serve you, understand where they come from, and begin creating new ways of relating that feel more grounded, connected, and aligned with who you are. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral and psychodynamic approaches to support both insight and meaningful change—so you’re not just understanding your patterns, but actively shifting them. With over a decade of experience supporting individuals impacted by trauma—including survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, homelessness, and involvement in the justice system—I approach this work through a lens of empowerment, equity, and deep care. You don’t have to keep carrying it all on your own. When you’re ready, we can begin this work together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me is a collaborative and intentional process. I create a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out or hold everything together. You’re allowed to show up exactly as you are. Many of the clients I work with are used to being the strong one—the one others rely on. In our work together, we begin to gently unpack those patterns, not with judgment, but with curiosity and care. My goal is to help you feel safe enough to explore what’s underneath the surface, understand how your experiences have shaped you, and begin building new ways of relating that feel more supportive and aligned. You can expect me to be present, engaged, and thoughtful in our sessions. I will challenge you when needed, support you consistently, and walk alongside you as you move toward meaningful change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work usually begins with getting a deeper understanding of your story—your experiences, current challenges, and what’s bringing you into therapy at this point in your life. From there, we collaboratively identify patterns that may be showing up in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, especially those rooted in past experiences. Together, we explore how these patterns developed and how they may be impacting your present. As we continue, sessions focus on building awareness, strengthening emotional regulation, and practicing new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding. I integrate approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and psychodynamic work to help you both understand the “why” and actively shift the “how.” Over time, the goal is for you to feel more connected to yourself, more grounded in your emotions, and more empowered in how you show up in your life and relationships.
