Getting to know Danielle Hodge

Hello, I’m Danielle. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’re opening up to someone you’ve never met before. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy—we can work through it together, at a pace that feels right for you. I have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years, beginning with school-aged children and later working in residential treatment with adolescents before expanding my work with adults. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, difficult relationships, and life transitions. These experiences have taught me the importance of meeting people where they are and recognizing that every person’s journey is different. My approach is person-centered, collaborative, and focused on helping you better understand yourself, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful change. I believe that therapy is not about simply telling you what to do—it is about working alongside you to identify what is getting in the way, build on your strengths, and develop tools that support the life you want to live. Change can be challenging, and growth does not always happen in a straight line. I believe that developing self-awareness, challenging unhelpful thought patterns, and learning to respond differently to life’s challenges can create lasting change. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you can feel supported while also gaining the confidence and skills to move forward. I’m glad you’re here, and I’m proud of you for taking this first step. I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your journey.
