Psychotherapist
6 E 39th St, Ste 1000, New York, NY
Hi, I’m Danielle, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with adults, adolescents, and children navigating anxiety, OCD, phobias, eating disorders, self-esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and the complicated patterns that can sometimes leave us feeling stuck. I especially enjoy helping clients understand those patterns and find new ways of relating to themselves and others. My goal is to create a space where you can genuinely be yourself, feel understood, and begin to grow. My approach is warm, collaborative, and highly individualized. I don’t believe therapy should feel like following a script, so I tailor our work to who you are, what matters to you, and what’s happening beneath the symptoms. Depending on your needs, I draw from CBT, ERP, ACT, DBT, family systems work, and others. I hold a Master’s degree from CUNY Hunter College and bring warmth, curiosity, humor, and authenticity into the therapy room. I’ll make space for the hard stuff while helping you recognize when it’s time to challenge an old pattern or try something different. If you're ready to take that first step, I'd love to connect.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect me to bring warmth, curiosity, humor, and authenticity into our work together. Whether you’re a child, teen, or adult struggling with anxiety, OCD, an eating disorder, or self-esteem, I want to understand who you are and what matters to you, not just the symptoms that brought you in. Therapy with me won’t feel like following a script. I’ll make room for the hard stuff, and I’ll also gently encourage you when it may be time to challenge an old pattern, take a risk, or try something new. Above all, I want this to be a place where you can genuinely be yourself.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is about getting to know you: what brought you to therapy, what’s been going on, and what you’d like to feel different. From there, we’ll set goals together that feel meaningful to you. Depending on your needs, I may draw from CBT, ERP for OCD and anxiety, ACT, DBT, compassion-focused work, mindfulness, or motivational interviewing, and I adapt the pace and tools to your age and comfort level. Along the way, we’ll check in regularly about what’s helping and what isn’t, adjusting our approach so you can build the insight and skills for meaningful, lasting change.
