Getting to know Danielle Taylor
As a grounded and positive therapist, I will be there with you as we safely explore your experiences, patterns, and fears to understand how they might be limiting your life in the here and now. This work will help identify your strengths, connect with your core values, and empower you to get closer to who you want to be, no matter what life throws at you. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of New England and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California. Not sure? I offer a free consultation call.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Life can be tough and there is so much that isn't under our control. Getting overwhelmed with emotions or self-critical thoughts only adds unnecessary suffering and therapy can help. I utilize a collaborative person-centered perspective that recognizes your expertise in your life. My practice is based upon use of mindfulness, narrative, cognitive and behavioral techniques to improve function in daily life. All of the work that I do is rooted in empathy and I am passionate about assisting clients through work, home and family stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, disability, grief and other major life transitions.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Clients can expect personalized treatment that is collaborative and tailored to their goals and strengths. Modalities that are utilized include CBT, ACT, narrative, strengths based, motivational interviewing and solution focused. Each session can include a brief check-in, focused work on a collaboratively discussed theme that promotes work towards overall goals and discussion of activities that can be used outside of therapy to promote additional learning.
