Psychotherapist
CO
Hello, I'm Denise. With over 20 years of clinical experience, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and find their path to well-being. My journey began with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University, followed by a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from the University of Phoenix in Colorado Springs. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in diverse settings, including crisis intervention, inpatient psychiatric care, and correctional behavioral health treatment. These experiences have shaped my holistic and compassionate approach to therapy. I specialize in working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, stress, and those struggling with suicidal ideation or self-harming behaviors. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Together, we will work on developing coping strategies and finding solutions that resonate with you. Living in Colorado for nearly two decades, I find solace in the great outdoors. Hiking, camping, and family gatherings are some of my favorite pastimes. Recently, I welcomed a nine-week-old German Shepherd Malinois mix named Reina into my life, and her playful antics bring joy and laughter to my days. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I am here to support you every step of the way. Whether you're dealing with overwhelming stress, navigating a significant life change, or seeking to understand and manage your emotions better, I am here to help. Let's work together to create a plan that meets your unique needs and helps you achieve your goals. If you're ready to take the first step towards a healthier, more fulfilling life, I invite you to reach out. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
