Hello, I'm Denise. With over 20 years of clinical experience, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and find their path to well-being. My journey began with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University, followed by a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from the University of Phoenix in Colorado Springs. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in diverse settings, including crisis intervention, inpatient psychiatric care, and correctional behavioral health treatment. These experiences have shaped my holistic and compassionate approach to therapy. I specialize in working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, stress, and those struggling with suicidal ideation or self-harming behaviors. Hiking, camping, and family gatherings are some of my favorite pastimes. Recently, I welcomed a nine-week-old German Shepherd Malinois mix named Reina into my life, and her playful antics bring joy and laughter to my days.
