Hello, my, my name is Debbedo Brown, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & motivation, self-esteem spiritual dynamics, grief, loss, and confidence. I believe that a person is the expert of his or her story and that he or she has many strengths that will assist them in overcoming things that challenge them. My approach is empathetic, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. Together, my clients and I will explore their thoughts, feelings, and goals to create a safe space for healing and growth. In working with clients my counseling approach in cooperates the modalities of strengths-based perspective, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Additionally, I am a trained clergy for the past 16 years, of which I able to provide spiritual counseling for clients who would like intervention in this area. Away from the professional sphere, I am an exercise enthusiast, I enjoy going to the gym to work out. Also, I enjoy listening to audio books and being outside in nature.
