Psychotherapist
NY
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re unsure where to begin or what to expect. I strive to make the process feel as approachable, supportive, and grounded as possible from our very first conversation. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe showing up exactly as you are—without pressure, judgment, or the need to have everything figured out. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York with experience supporting adolescents and adults through anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, self-esteem concerns, crisis, and life transitions. Many clients I work with feel stuck or overwhelmed and are looking for both understanding and practical tools to help them move forward. I use a thoughtful, trauma-informed approach that blends evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, and ACT, always with care and intention.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and paced to your comfort level. I place a strong emphasis on building a trusting relationship, because feeling understood and emotionally safe is an essential part of meaningful change. You don’t need to have the “right” words or a clear plan to get started. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you and what you hope to shift. I tailor my approach to each individual, recognizing that no two experiences are the same. Some sessions may focus on understanding patterns, emotions, or past experiences, while others may center on learning coping strategies you can use in daily life. My role is to support you in making sense of what you’re experiencing and to help things feel more manageable, grounded, and less overwhelming over time.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our initial sessions focus on getting to know you. We’ll talk about what feels most important to address and begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you. There’s no rush; we move at a pace that feels supportive rather than pressured. As therapy continues, sessions often involve a blend of reflection, skill-building, and deeper exploration. Depending on your needs, we may work on developing coping tools, increasing self-awareness, processing difficult experiences, or understanding emotional and behavioral patterns. Throughout our work together, I aim to provide consistency, collaboration, and a steady space where growth can happen one step at a time.
