Getting to know Deborah Wood
Hello.My name is Deborah (Deb) Wood and I have been a therapist for over thirty years. I am licensed in both Arizona and New Hampshire working primarily with adult women with a variety of issues. My strengths as a therapist include making people feel comfortable and safe in session, a straight-forward and interactive approach with clients, and a focus on helping an individual change and move towards their goals at their own pace. I employ several different modalities learned throughout the years but the basis of my treatment revolves around mutual respect, truly listening and being present in a client's conveyed experience, and, when appropriate, a hint of humor.
I received my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology in 1992 from Antioch University Seattle. However, life experience has proven to be a worthy teacher, as well. I enjoy everything outdoors, dogs, cats, music, and good friends.
